Me too. Like many people this is a sad and difficult time of the year. So her words were very meaningful and touching.

palindrome | noun | a word, verse, or sentence or a number that reads the same backward or forward

It comes from Greek 'palindromos,' meaning "running back again."

So sad to hear about Rick Buckler dying. Another of my teenage idols gone, what an era, what a drummer, what a band. RIP Rick

My favourite of his is Windy Day, I know it’s Tangier but to me it looks just like Donegal LOL

you wanted from this life, even so?

And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth.

Here is an interesting adjective quirk that you probably aren’t even aware you are doing.

In English, adjectives seem to follow a specific order:

opinion - size - age - shape - color - origin - material - purpose - noun

The photos I took today were a good bit back so not great either. But it was such a wonderful sight to see. They are just under the crane and the reflection on the Lagan was lovely.
The sound of them roosting under the bridge was amazing to hear too, louder than I thought they’d be.

Word of the Day is one I keep posting at the end of the year, hoping its time will come.

β€˜Respair’, from the 16th century, is fresh hope, and a recovery from despair.

Here’s to a few drops of respair in 2025.

Almost at €13,000.

The progress is torturous this year as I don't have the Twitter megaphone anymore.

Can we prove #SpeirGorm that this place might be useful to raise funds for incredible organisations too?

It’s great to acknowledge that we aren’t merry or happy. I chuck cards with those words, and not just the 1st year.
