I enjoy photography first, birding is a side effect of my hobby. Most of my photographs are from the urban landscape of the Midwest United States, which goes to show if you give nature just a little breathing room, amazing things can happen.

Thank you so much. This raptor and it's mate have learned to follow people, especially dog walkers as we will flush things out of the tall grass. Subsequently, I can get quite close compared to other raptors.

Thank you so much. I'm lucky enough to have a breeding pair at my local park, and the flood depression is where they hunt for their food. Subsequently I'm able to get a lot of great shots of them. This pair tolerates people more than most raptors.
