Our traffic warden members in Bromley are again marching on the Civic Centre. All they want is fair pay and a bit of respect. APCOA can end the dispute today, and maybe LB Bromley should be reminding them of that
As November comes to a close, GMB Southern Region marks the end of Islamophobia Awareness Month (IAM)

It may be cold, but our members at APCOA Bromley are out on strike for fair pay. Give us a like and share to show solidarity!
Join us next Tuesday evening for a fascinating Webinar hosted by our Regional Equality Forum on the rise of the Far Right and how this affects our members at work.

A black-and-white picture of Jayaben Desai, holding a sign which reads "the workers united will never be defeated"
We also honour the legacy of Jayaben Desai, a trailblazer who led the Grunwick strike and inspired generations of migrant workers to demand dignity and respect at work.
Her courage lives on in every fight for fairness today.

Our campaign at APCOA in South London features many members of South Asian heritage and is still ongoing in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
These stories are a vital part of the UK’s labour movement and deserve to be recognised and celebrated.
GMB Southern Region is proud to stand with our South Asian members; from gig economy workers to NHS staff, carers, and many others across key sectors who help keep our country running.
South Asian Heritage Month: 18 July – 17 August
This year’s theme ; Roots to Routes - invites us to reflect on the journeys of South Asian communities: their migration, struggles, and powerful contributions to British society.

Dozens of members protested outside a cab office in Basingstoke after their rep was stood down.
Why doesn't the Lamborghini-driving manager want our rep to fight against the wage downturn he's signing off?

GMB members at Asda's St Leonards store have revealed SHOCKING details in a survey.

It's #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek 2025 and we're thinking differently about neurodiversity to challenge stereotypes & misconceptions.
Dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia are more common than you might think – you might have a colleague with at least one of them.

Happy International Women’s Day to all our women members! #InternationalWomensDay25 #IWD25
A photo of Gloria Steinem
As Gloria Steinem once said:
"The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human
rights."
A graphic which reads Asda Workers Need Pay Justice. A footnote reads International Women’s Day
In 2025, GMB continues its fight for women’s equality in and out of the workplace, not least in Asda where our fight for equal pay for women-dominated roles continues.
GMB is constantly working on women’s issues via Women's Conference and has recently published the GMB Menopause Toolkit and held webinars on Sexual Harassment.
This day is a call to recognise the work done to make progress for all women globally and
emphasise the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality.
We must work together to address the barriers and biases faced by women in both their personal and
professional spaces

Today is International Women’s Day.
As we do every year, GMB is once again supporting International Women’s Day. This year’s theme is #AcceleratingAction
Based on data from the World Economic Forum it will take until 2158 to achieve Gender Equality –
this is 5 generations away!

GMB members holding flags and placards outside their place of work, St Georges Hospital
A GMB member holding a placard which reads "Mitie staff are overworked and understaffed. We deserve better!"
GMB's Branch Secretary addresses the gathered members outside the hospital entrance.
Our members who clean and cater St Georges Hospital in Tooting are sick and tired of not getting paid properly and not being respected by their employer, Mitie.
So this lunchtime they staged a demonstration outside the hospital entrance.
Our members won't give up until some serious change is made!
Parking wardens across four South London boroughs have STOPPED ISSUING PARKING TICKETS as of this morning.
Maybe the employer might be more inclined to settle the dispute now?

Shame on you, Guildford Council!
Not only have our members not had their complaints properly looked at, now they're at risk of redundancy!

The long running dispute in Wiltshire is over and our members have been offered a reasonable outcome.
A sensible outcome, reached by grown ups - so why all the years of mucking about and sometimes breaking the law?
