3) Have you set house rules? If you don't create boundaries, children will often develop unhealthy habits. Sitting down with your kids to agree on house rules together leads to better results.
We run free parents' sessions and either free or low-price sessions in schools.
2) Are you checking regularly? We know that children overstep the boundaries, so we need to keep an eye on what theyβre doing on social media. After all, they are children - not adults.
1) Are you having regular conversations with them about what they're doing on their smartphones? Showing an interest is vital if you want them to talk to you if (or when) things go wrong.
During a visit to one school, several Year 7 students said their phone was the most important thing in their life - putting it ahead of family and friends. We believe there are three key areas for parents to consider if they allow their children on social media:
