Fun fact: The last American to race in #MotoGP was Nicky Hayden, who rode in the Grand Prix in 2016.
With Hayden’s death in 2017, the U.S. has yet to have another American racer compete in the final race.
Crowds beginning to gather in stands and lawns around #COFA for the #MotoGP sprint today, which will begin in than an hour.
The sprint will give spectators an idea of how the Grand Prix will go tomorrow.
The next anticipated race for #MotoGP is the 10-lap Tissot Sprint at 3 p.m., where the racers will race for points contributing toward their individual championship scores.
The points are given to the top nine finishes in the sprint, but these points are reduced compared to those offered tmrw’s GP

#COFA Turn 1 has claimed another victim, with Fermín Aldeguer sliding off.
Turn 1 is infamous for its harsh turn, leading to both many passes and crashes during races.
The qualifier continues with the racers giving it their all in these straightaways.
Màrquez currently leads with a lap time of two minutes, closely followed by Giannantonio and then Bagnaia.

A fun fact is that #MotoGP bikes can reach up to 130 decibels! For reference, this is comparable to the sound produced by a jet taking off! #COTA

#NICAR25 day 1 was so much fun! I met so many other students interested in data and was introduced to various libraries for spatial mapping and PDF scraping. Learning a new Python library and figuring out how it can augment your current workflow is always so exciting! #ut-jam-mig
