I stopped at a pharmacy and bought over the counter sleep aid and a vial of melatonin capsules. I doubled the dosage of each and waited for darkness to swallow me. But these gentle supplements were a pale imitation of the quaaludes and Special K. No fractal-lined whirlpool to slip into.
