If there is one thing that really grinds my gear is how transport for frailty patients to get home is so inadequate! Delaying someone for three hours, is three hours lost time. Let alone those out of area patients! Surely there has to be an easier way! 🤦♂️

I have finally reach the half way point in my latest project. 28 podcasts recorded to co-inside with the RCN level 2 emergency nursing podcasts. Now a rest before doing the rest in the new year. Cannot wait to share these.
You can try and run an admission avoidance service in ED but if a patient is medically fit, no family to take them home or not able to get in and out of a car, and transport requires 24 hours for any out of area transfer you are simply trying to swim upstream in an angry river, destined to fail.
