I watched a bit of TV in my hotel and saw an ad from a local governor candidate that explicitly used Trumpโs images and laid out the problems he caused, I didn't know you could do that here ๐ญ I don't think I've seen TV ads from politicians in other countries

The culture shock of today is that I went to Trader Joeโs and was shocked that the queue was so long that it took half of the store space, and there were 20 checkout counters but all of them were manned (i.e. no self checkout), that was crazy ๐ซจ
I think travelling from a small small country also maximizes my sense of shock ๐

I went to Walgreens to buy a makeup product but found that half of the things there were locked ๐ When I asked an Asian woman and her daughter next to me how things work here, they were so spooked that they literally ran away ๐ Took me 20 mins to get a staff member to unlock a 9 dollar product
SF Chinatown is absolutely mind-blowing. I had a dream about it a few years ago but IRL it's even more chaotic, it's like Hong Kong in an italic font. There are tourists walking around in Chinese attire and some guy selling puppies by the street? And older men playing Erhu? And a US army trailer?
I'm in San Francisco for not even a full day yet but I'm already in a constant state of shockโฆ This place cannot be real (it's my first time in the Americas so please excuse me)

It's a nice and rare feeling to buy a game and not feel any resistance to immediately install and play (Slay the Spire 2 for me today).
I think knowing the game is run based and can be stopped anytime while still offers a somewhat complete experience helps with this
