Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2
Today marks the release of episode one of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2.
We already have some interesting pieces of trivia to gather from it. However, I will not be discussing spoilers for any episodes until at least two weeks after their release.

If you recognise the second photo, it's because portions of it were heavily edited by Unknowingly to portray the titular entity in the sixth entry in his analogue horror series, The Man in the Suit, titled "Dorsal Extraction (1962)".

The original Xbox version of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee did, in fact, also release in PAL regions. However, its release is mystifyingly absent from Wikipedia and Wikizilla due to it being very rare (and thus expensive), so unfortunately I am not able to find much information about it.

It appears “Kamata-Kun”, the fan-made nickname given to Godzilla’s second form in Shin Godzilla coined by Twitter user @/pasinpasin in July 2016 following the film’s theatrical debut, has been officially canonised thanks to a new listing on the US Godzilla Store website for a sweater!

Here's to hoping they at least meet a parody of Godzilla in Minions and Monsters, but given the time period the film is set to take place in (the 1920s, which predates the decade of Godzilla's debut), it doesn't seem likely.
To promote the then-upcoming Minions movie in 2015, Illumination partnered with Toho to produce a 30-second long commercial that played exclusively in the Toho Cinemas chain in Japan. This is where the Minions came face-to-face with Godzilla, though it's unlikely they'll cross paths again.
I've considered other types of content such as news posts and occasional editorial threads, but if there's anything else you'd like me to do on this blog, feel free to let me know. Any sort of feedback is appreciated!

Godzilla Minus One
According to Patrick Tatopoulos, he had “very little, almost next to no” involvement with the design of Godzilla in Godzilla Minus One (2023).
This is because he did not work on the movie.
If the sequel to this movie was actually made it would've been so fucking funny for her to only have like 2 minutes of screentime and to see Nick dump her for an Australian biologist. The whore deserves it.

As of the 13th January 2026, the first ever English translation of The Luminous Fairies and Mothra (1961) was published by the University of Minnesota Press, translated by Jeffrey Angles. It marked the first appearance of Mothra in any media, but is not a direct novelisation of her debut film.
