Suspect Trump is about to learn the hard way the same lesson the British did in the Dardanelles in February 1915: itβs extremely difficult to force open a narrow waterway in the face of a determined enemy.

I love that there are now βpre-feasibility studiesβ before the feasibility studies and business cases. Sounds like someone at the NZOC has a mate in the niche sport facility consulting world π€£
Who in their right mind is trying to host the Commonwealth Games anymore? Only reason I can think of the NZ Olympic Committee pursuing this stupid idea is theyβre hoping it might result in some funding of elite sport facilities which are lacking locally. www.rnz.co.nz/news/sport/5...
Over summer, I OIA'd every minister for their AI chat logs.
Here's what I found:

Someone should ask the Prime Minister whether a Chief Executive who oversaw a company losing nearly a third of its share price should keep their job.

If this is what the Coalition thinks being βlaser focusedβ on growing the economy is, Iβd hate to think what things look like when they get distracted π
And done! Amazing buzz at the finish. Also got to catch up with the boysβ teacher who gave me lots of advice when I was retraining last year.
Issue at transition where Renee indicated she wanted water but kept running as I scrambled to get it out. Apparently hasnβt been able to find water on course.
Obviously hasnβt been an issue as she made it to half way on the bike and is now heading back.
As Renee ran past she asked if Iβd flipped around her handle bars (I hadnβt but Iβm guessing sheβs just not used to running and pushing her bike through transition)
Already seen one athlete start off on the bike leg and then double back as theyβd grabbed the wrong bike π€£
Alex and Leon have been building a fort in the centre of this Pohutukawa to get out of the wind.
Just before they head down for the athlete briefing. Looking at the beach I think theyβre very glad theyβre only doing the duathlon. The triathletes are going to have a wild time in the surf.
Changing of roles with me crewing my wife and her best friend at the KΔpiti Womenβs Triathlon this morning down at Raumati Beach. Blustery conditions but awesome to see such a big crowd of athletes here.
How is Nick Leggett still involved with Infrastructure New Zealand given he fell on his sword over the Wellington sewage debacle?
Section of the back fence has bent out, hasnβt quite fallen over due to my previous bracing of it, but not long till it all snaps. Canβt do anything about it until after work today when the wind has hopefully died down a bit.
Nervously waiting for sunrise to see what damage there is. Wind still hasnβt died down either, so going to be a white knuckle drive to work headlong into the southerly too π³
Itβs nights like this I miss mum and dadβs old place. It didnβt get much sun but was well sheltered from both the norβwester and southerly gales. Havenβt managed to get any sleep yet between the menacing growl of the wind, the house creaking, and things crashing outside.

People complain lots about the pricing of op shops these days, but I just picked up a near new office chair that retails for between $300-$400 for just $25. π
Have finished my first week of full time employment in nearly six years, and honestly feels amazing to be back working a regular 40+ hours a week job after so long of part time and and the uncertainty of consulting work.
