I don’t think so. I see all ages in schools.

I don’t expect it from people but I see it happen over and over.

It would take a contentious idea/change in education to galvanise another movement. At the moment things are quite steady.

I think it’s the most rewarding and fun job ever, and honestly even if people don’t go into it seeing it as a vocation, it becomes one.

Which is a shame because both ‘sides’ were populated with intelligent people whose differences helped illuminate and better the profession.

I don’t know if that was it. I feel like a few of the initial pedagogical discussions became arguments that turned sour and divides were created. Some fled here. I was hoping that a new forum might be another chance. Unfortunately I think some decided the war was over.

For me things haven’t changed dramatically. The huge changes were 2010-2015.

Ok, I'd like to see people discuss what's changed since 2016. I'm toying with the idea of a classroom return, are things different in terms of work/life balance now? Different under a new government? And, how have parent/teacher/school interactions changed? That's what I think about.

But a list will just give you people who write stuff you are interested in which are probably stand alone things monologues. I used to like the ongoing conversations that challenged orthodoxies or generated strong opinions.

But there were discussions being had that you could join in with. I’m not sure I’ve seen any over here. Maybe I’m missing them 🤷‍♀️

I don’t know. I just think someone needs to get a big conversation going again. People have stopped sharing good practice and discussing pedagogical approaches as far as I can tell.

I don’t think X is like Twitter 2010 though. People have just stopped the conversation. I’m not sure why.

Unwittingly, I asked a child receiving a times table award what six sevens were on Friday. Cue three hundred children laughing and juggling hands. 🤷‍♀️I won’t be asking that particular question again anytime soon 😂
