Continuing our journey around #breweries in #Greece, here’s the #microbrewery of Chios, an island in the eastern Aegean, founded in 2011 by Iakovos Amygdalos and Manos Nazlidis. They have 5 beers in their range, but at least another 30 for nomads/gypsies who use their superb production facility.

Continuing our journey around #breweries in #Greece, here’s the largest #microbrewery, Vergina [verˈʝina], founded by Dimitris Politopoulos in 1996. His role in breaking the Heineken monopoly was crucial for all future craft brewers, as was his development of the only source of Greek malt for them.

Our journey around the #breweries of #Greece continues with SKNIPA in Thessaloniki, founded by Angelo Kaniatsakis, George Haritidis and George Goutziouris in 2010. At the moment of writing, they have produced 24 beers over the years, of which I have tried 16.

Our journey around the #breweries of #Greece continues with SOLO in Herakleion, Crete, founded in 2018 by Norwegian ex-pat Kjetil Jikiun and his local partners Nikolas Loukakis and Kostis Stavrakakis. I have tried 30 of their more than 60 beers, and we offer their main range at our hotels.
