Toss 'em in a stainless steel pan.
We werenβt entirely successful.

I mean no - I'm capable of having values, I just don't think there's a self-external truth-maker for those values.
I feel this way about Andor as well.
It's okay I'm a raging sociopath.
It's simple: I prefer 1000 to 0 dollars.
"hey, you like my shoes? i'll get you a pair, they'll be at your house tomorrow" is unfortunately trump at his most hank scorpio coded
Gonna just go ahead and tollens that ponens real quick...
As a moral antirealist with generally low self esteem, I finally understand the impulse for realism.

Film Poster for "The Big Lebowski". Two men stand with a bowling alley in the background. On the left, Jeff Bridges with long hair, a beard, sunglasses, and a bathrobe. On the right, John Goodman stands in a military vest, raising a gun to his head.
Are they old enough to read the sacred texts?
I gotta stop reading the news before bed.
Various pro-war arguments of the form "Did you know the Iranian government is very bad actually!???" betray a Marvel film level understanding of international relation (tbh probably _less_ sophisticated than the better of them!) and are a painful reminder that journalists learned nothing from Iraq.
Are you serious?
We can also have a "science for life" unit that teaches race science and cooking, and confine studying evolution and physics to "science for curiosity."
I hope this just means that I am a better writer and writing better takes longer/is harder. But it does not feel that way.
I used to be able to write so much in 3 hours and now even if I'm focused the entire time it seems like barely anything gets done.
If atheism is interpreted as anti-monotheism, then Dewey was as aggressive an atheist as has ever lived. The idea that God might have kept something back, that there might be something not ourselves which it was our duty to discover, was as distasteful to him as was the idea that God could tell us which of our needs took priority over others. He reserved his awe for the universe as a whole, βthe community of causes and consequences in which we, together with those not born, are enmeshed.β

Nice.
My plan is to one day accomplish something that makes me worthy of happiness and/or respect. So far it's not working great.
That quote about Hungerford is exactly how I feel about Hatcher's Algebraic Topology.
I mentioned his lin-alg series as a better one and I think that's in part because he does ground it in notation and definitions. I remember watching a video of his on Fourier analysis years ago and yeah I would guess that basically said nothing (evidence: I don't know Fourier analysis).
Is the idea that 3b1b gives you the impression of understanding the math because it presents you with some kind of intuition, but leaves you still potentially clueless as to how to connect that to the actual syntax? Because yeah I think I agree. Though it's been a while.
It's been a while since I've watched, but my freshman year I found the linear algebra series very useful, at least.
