With the Epstein files, the aim isn't to disprove or disarm the conspiracy theories; it's to expose the real conspiracy, which is/was to cover up a lot of high-status high-net worth individuals' sleezy behavior (or at the least, their bad taste in friends).
Is this how elites have always behaved?
As irrational as conspiracism is, it's gotten harder for serious-minded people to draw a clear line between paranoid hallucinations (the Illuminati, Organized Jewry, Antifa) and real world depravities (Epstein, the Trumps' self-dealing, his administration's and Israel's ethnonationalism).

It’s not just the tariffs that are going to wreck the US economy. There will be product boycotts as well as a decline in tourism and conferences held in the US because people have other options and won’t risk this stuff. The US is internationally viewed as a dysfunctional country (as it is).
