and thatโs totally okay. :)

๐ A Monsoon Rising by Thea Guanzon
So far, this series has been focused on Pride&Prejudice-level pining with a mix of plot. Itโs good vs. evil but evil is manipulated, brainwashed good (but.. still genocidal. itโs complicated). I LOVED the worldbuilding & magic. That cliffhanger was ILLEGAL though.
Hard agree. Especially for fantasy/sci-fi? It takes longer for worldbuilding & plot development โ more often than not, the back half makes it so worth it.
i ask myself this almost every night.
An image featuring a felt letter board with a wooden frame, displaying the phrase "ANYONE WHO HAS TIME TO CLEAN IS NOT READING NEARLY ENOUGH." The board is positioned against a soft, light grey textured blanket. To the left of the board is an open book, partially visible. Several flowers with green leaves are above the book and in the foreground. On the right side, next to the board, is a white ceramic coffee cup filled with black coffee.

this was one of my absolute favorite 2024 reads.
PERFECT.

deeply felt.
the more i hear about it, the more excited i am to read it! everyone who talks about it seems to really love it.
Holy shit this filing update is wild! It states that:
1. Zuckerberg gave the ok to train off copyrighted works
2. Engineers wrote scripts to remove copyright info
3. Meta downloaded illegal torrents to train models of

b&n book mail ๐ค iโm jumping into all but three of these blind. buuuuut this week, but iโve seen some really good things about blood over bright haven so that might be my next read.
Did some more exploring here today & it looks like most people are really relaxed in their feeds. Seems like there isnโt pressure to post about a specific thing to keep your community & since thereโs no algorithm, there isnโt that popularity contest feel that sometimes happens in other apps? I like.
For the past few yrs, my family has had a tradition of watching a kdrama during the holidays โ we werenโt able to make it happen this time, but this book?? 1000% scratched that itch. The only thing I needed was an OST & vignettes like film stills in the epilogue. (2/2)
๐ The Name Drop by Susan Lee
Itโs impossible, cute, super easy to read, everyone is hot, there are kpop references, & ofc I giggled bc the fmc & mmc connected gazes from across the room??? They kissed TWICE & I screamed. (1/2)
Thanks so much! ๐ซถ๐ผ
FELT.
Thanks so much! ๐ซถ๐ผ
An image showing what I describe
Fun fact: If someone quotes a post of yours in a way that is unwelcome (as is commonplace on Twitter/X) there is a tool to combat the unwanted attention. Simply click the three dot menu on the quote post & click "Detach quote". This removes your post from their quote post. Useful to know, do share!
No book? Big problem.
These are so cute!!! But are they *comfy?*
FELT. Iโm definitely taking it slow over here while I learn how the app works & Iโm taking lots of breaks. It can be a little overwhelming.
First, starter packs for romance people to follow.
This is one of two #romancelandia starter packs from @allieiswriting.bsky.social
You can pick and choose which people you want to follow or click the "Follow all" button and add them all to your feed.
bsky.app/starter-pack...
Hey everyone! I am working on putting together a starter pack of people from Bookthreads to make it easier to find everyone.
If you are coming over from Bookthreads and are not on the list, or know of someone else who is not on the list yet, let me know so I can add you/them!

This link is a collection of #Booksky feeds so that you can subscribe to different genres? #romancelandia is another hashtag that was recโd to me. But you can also just explore other feeds in the ๐ tab (in the toolbar).
bsky.app/profile/did:...
I started by finding my moots from Threads. And then by going through starter packs, feeds, & hashtags they shared. ๐ฅฒ
Thereโs definitely a learning curve bc there isnโt an algorithm. You find people thru starter packs (lists of curated users) โ @cjfmeade.bsky.social made a few for booksta/bookthreads users if you check her recent posts.
But otherwise, you find the content you want through hashtags, feeds & lists.
Let me know if you end up liking it!
