She's just so happy to be Amydog!
Bluesky pals, got a request for you.
Does anyone have any photos or footage of Locomotion No 1, that they'd be alright with me using (with full credit of course) in a video about Railway200?
The rushed 6-second shot I grabbed of No 1 at The Greatest Gathering doesn't really suffice for B-roll xD
I checked into the stream about 45 minutes in, and then was like...wait, why is it just starting? Oh, it's the VOD, which means its already finished...OHHHH π
Well, if the England rugby team aren't getting it done, leave it to the Dons instead π
That just made me think of one of those old Badass Racin' In NASCAR comps, and I need a Rasmussen highlight reel set to this now:

Heck yes! Where did you acquire these from?
And literally nothing of value was lost.
A quick selfie of me walking down a country lane, with sunny blue skies and bushes and trees with bright green leaves on them behind me. I'm smiling at the camera, with styled over hair, black glasses, and wearing a brown and red plaid shirt.
Amazing what a little sunshine, & some fresh spring air, can do for the body & brain.
After what felt like an eternity of cold, wet, dark & miserable days, I could genuinely feel the weight of the winter SADs lifting off my shoulders just a tiny bit today.
We're almost there, pals. πβοΈ
Also, it probably makes sense that SP gives Doctor Who vibes, given when I first saw the trailer/preview image, I thought for a second that it was Christopher Eccleston playing the main character...
...until I remembered very quickly that it was a BBC show.
That makes total sense. I was wondering what wasn't quite hitting about the show anymore, and...this is it. Spot on. The Doctor doesn't feel like the quirky misfit anymore, and in an era of far too many cool heroes (and anti-heroes), we need the quirky misfit outsider more than ever.
Agreed. I miss the 'cosmic hobo' energy a lot, and the 'not caring about being weird' makes the character so much appealing and likeable, especially to ND folks.
I even thought of an idea the other day of how to describe what a Doctor should be - 'Space Colombo'.
After falling in love with ice hockey at the Winter Olympics, today was my first time watching live @thepwhl.com - and this was a treat to see in my first live game!
Also made me hum the Thin Lizzy song Jailbreak as well. Petition to use that as the official theme song of jailbreak goals?
Knew you had excellent taste!! Was low-key one of my favourite Disney movies as a kid, above even classics like Jungle Book and Lion King. Just an incredible Victorian London vibe, fun mix of campy Carry On humour with genuine darkness - that final fight was genuinely scary to me as a kid!
One of several James Bond games from that era that I need to try out. I liked Nightfire, and Everything or Nothing basically felt like the unofficial last Brosnan Bond movie with the super high production values. Never tried FRWL or GoldenEye Rogue Agent back then?
Oh don't worry, I'm sure Roger is too fixated on bending over backwards for his bestie Trump to make the Washington race happen for him to notice π
What an absolute chode. Like, seriously. What a prick.
On the positive side, it sounds like you had a marvellous evening βΊοΈ
...you're a genius, I'm on it.
Oooh, what kind of display gizmo is that? And of course, happy birthday!! ππ
Gotcha. That's interesting - how much would you say they differ from the original series? :)
Permission to say the Snatch artwork is S-tier? Spot on work π«‘
Thankfully it fell on the side of likable for me!
I am now curious as to what you searched for on Freesound to find it... 'annoying boop jingle' perhaps? π
On an aside, that little 'boop-beep-boop' jingle sound is so satisfying, it makes me more inclined to watch the full promo video again, even though I've already seen it multiple times.
You know, I've never watched any Star Trek, but I feel like a decent place to start with the classics would be the films. Ive heard nothing but great things about WoK, and even The Final Frontier, for as deeply flawed as it was, sounds fascinating.
Oh hey, my dad's birthday is this weekend too! Good weekend for birthdays π have a lovely weekend!
Well, this makes up for the rugby! π΅π‘
A copy of the game Salt Lake 2002 for the Playstation 2, that I bought on eBay for the princely sum of Β£3.14, sat on my kitchen worktop.
...no, YOU'VE been getting into the Winter Olympics too much. Shush.
Me this morning: curling is amazing.
Me this afternoon: actually, curling is a stupid sport and I hate it.
Me this evening: CURLING IS THE GREATEST SPORT IN THE WORLD
Bit of an emotional rollercoaster, to be honest. But I'd expect nothing less π

Love those series so much. Just a mental selection of cars - just from those pictures, I can see a silhouette Volvo, old V8 Supercars, and is that an Aston DBR9 GT1?
I also enjoy that this is how I find out you're back on Mock The Week! Which is great news.
Or should that be, Mock Half The Week...
