Ah so they've stuck the folders/files under Shared (next to Posts) now which is not at all intuitive to me.

I was visiting a friend last week and they'd had a *bed* left with them for a neighbour. They only agreed because they had space in their garage but the neighbour hadn't even been told!

Unreasonably excited to see the big Emirates Airbus flying over Edgeley this morning. Mostly because I have a child inside me that loves planes (and trains), rather than any deeper feeling for middle eastern geopolitics.

Did you know that in Cheshire we have some brill Squirrel-themed streets?
Up here in GM there's no such thing as returns anymore...which means I get peak + off peak for a commute and save a few pennies!
Northern app gets you to pick a train but is pretty clear (IMO) about what other trains you can catch. I expect it's all down to wanting to be super clear to make sure no-one gets caught out. There is of course another way to do that (!)
Because they know they want to travel on a certain day, and are *pretty* sure they know when they want to travel (and therefore want to guarantee a seat) but want wiggle room.
He really should have written "don't buy non-advance tickets in advance" because that's what he means
yeah he's only talking about non-Advance (capital A) tickets (ie the ones that cost the same as on-the-day) bought in advance.
The other bit of his thread which annoyed me is where he says "oh but you can get a seat reservation without a ticket however I'm going to make you find out how yourself"
ah but this change does not apply to Advance (ie cheaper) tickets, only standard fare tickets *bought in advance* (ie the ones that are more expensive / same as on-the-day price)
Not anymore in GM! Only available up to day before.
I get quite anxious travelling and not knowing whether I can get a seat is a big deal. Bike space even more so.
I really need to understand
(a) how you make these seat reservations without a ticket
(it's all very well telling people to find out but Google is absolutely terrible for this now, I tried in December)
(b) whether the same thing is possible with bike spaces
