On March 10th, Pete Hegseth invoked Psalm 144, quoting "Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle," as a way of framing the war in Iran. This is not only a clear violation of the separation of church and state, it is using the Bible to divinely sanction the violence of the state. The history of political rules using scripture this way is long and bloody. Everyone should oppose this. Especially in light of all those school children that were killed. Woe to those who take the name of God upon their lips while their bombs fall on children.

Photo sent to us of week old Chester. As a puppy he was a caramel colour with black markings on his face and ears.
6 month old Chester. He’s faded considerably but still has darker brown markings where his black used to be.
1 yr old Chester. The white that started around his nose has spread over his face and the rest of his fur is a much lighter colour.
1 yr old Chester now has his final all-over cream colour with only faint greyish marking on his ear tips and tail tip to show where the black used to be.
We interrupt this Lenten fast to celebrate the feast of Chester’s Nativity. 5 yrs ago today we learned that our puppy had come into the world….though it would be two And half months before we would get to meet him. Happy Birthday little guy. We love you ❤️🐶
