I totally agree. I grew up with more of this crazy stuff as a teenager than I realized. I didn't follow it, but I certainly read the books, because I wanted to know why this stuff was so important to some people I knew.

Granted, electric cars and their lithium batteries are not perfect. How about running on solar and wind? But that is another discussion, and electric and hybrid cars are a big step in the right direction. Look at your renewal forms before you pay.

I was getting ready to renew my Tennessee car tags for 2026 and was surprised to see a $100 "Electric Car Fee" added for driving a Camry Hybrid. This is proof that the majority of politicians in Tennessee (MAGA Republicans) are totally bought by the fossil fuel industry.
