I use algebra when doing some accounting things because I think it's a more exacting way of calculating totals in certain circumstances and every time my boss (regardless of who my boss is) just looks at me like I'm crazy.

Maybe I've slipped below that 6th grade reading level just out of not actually reading that much. I think the last books I truly devoured were the Percy Jackson books, and it's not like those are difficult to read. It's been awhile since I've dug into something hefty.

I saw the thing about 54% of US adults reading below at or below a 6th grade reading level and I always sorta scoff at that and put myself in the 46% but I'm not so sure I should.
