Well, as far as merit goes, you have to admit, these guys hit it out of the park: you want to hire a dumbass, you can’t do better than this! Ditto for the whole damn cabinet and administration.

We are committing unfathomable crimes. We can stop there. Every country we have attacked has significant portions of their societies who will suffer much more than the bad leaders we are ostensibly attacking. Trump will do less than nothing to help them. We must hold him accountable!

Succinctly accurate! I’d add that I’m sick of one bad apple causing so much rot. Most of us want to do the kind thing, the right thing, and then one jerk comes along and decides to F all the rules and norms and screws it up for everybody.
I didn’t like Bush 1 or 2, and though I have no insight into why he didn’t show, it ain’t a good look. Still, I suppose Jackson played for the opposite side… Decency and just being a kind human are in short supply these days…

I agree with the majority here: most people are good. What’s remarkable is how just a handful people among billions can cause such chaos and pain for everybody else. They obviously have helpers and that speaks to how humans are good/bad depending on the situation. No one is all one thing.

I’m not a big fan of killing, but there are times when one wonders how many lives could be saved if just a few were ended… I can’t fathom the minds who would deliberately kill innocent people to protect their interests. The ugliest, basest form of humanity.

The degree of heartlessness of this administration never fails to astound me. These people have taken their hearts and buried them so deeply underground, it’s not clear they are still human in the sense that we are social animals. I cannot understand what they think they are doing.
I think that question is being asked in different ways. And the answer is, perhaps, that there is no legal route to deport most people detained, so they’re putting them in horrible camps, hoping they will self-deport, helping the feds with a cheaper way to deport them. Ugly

Wow, you are full of slogans. No, it doesn’t. But I never said it did. What’s your point here? Somehow guns will solve everything? They won’t. They just ensure somebody won’t (ever) leave the scene after the gun appears. Won’t necessarily be the person you hoped would be hurt.

I can’t change your mind. But I hate guns with a passion you wouldn’t believe. I lost my best friend to a murder that never would have happened if guns weren’t so prevalent. So I’m deeply invested in finding other ways. And I say that, knowing I won’t shed a tear when he’s dead (soon hopefully).
On the one hand, I hear you and agree. On the other, imagine people showing up to protest with guns. Vengeance would be satisfying, but bloody, and we’d lose too many good people. We’re not at that point in the story—hope we never get there. I really believe we can defeat them without guns.
That’s a beautiful thing: generations or waves of relatives, able to speak the language of music with each other.
