I liked the ending, but we skipped a good chunk of the story and focused only on what was most interesting/teachable

I'm struggling to find hope in this world, so I volunteered at my local SPCA.

In these dark times, I encourage you to gravitate towards hope and joy in everything you do.

I fear this world will swallow up hopefull people and spit them out. I'm trying to stop that from happening to me.

Let me know if you ever want to talk more in-depth about these things. My next comic is very much examining the pros/cons of Socialism, but in a sci-fi/future setting. Hence, why all the research.

Just subscribed! Are you a fan of Michael Parenti? I really enjoy his speeches, as I feel like he's a great speaker who makes Marx's ideas easy to understand.

Thank you for your recommendations. I need to check out more of Orwell's essays. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of that mindset/lifestyle, though I'll likely include that kind of socialist in my next comic as an example.

I feel the same. I don't know what I'd do without my friends. Well, I do know, which is why I'm so thankful they're in my life. Glad you have people in your life who bring you joy and safety, Shadow!

But I am also interested in socialist revolutions, so I've been studying a lot of history from a Marxist perspective.

DEFINITELY proper Marxism as Marx intended, which I'm definitely open to talking/learning more about.
