I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

Has he tried swimming in the potomac or other alternative cures? Is he not eating enough protein? This sort of thing doesn't happen to people who follow the right lifestyle.

Yeah I had an experience in the early 2000's when I was having anxiety attacks and all sorts of shit and I was talking to my doctor and he was looking at charts and I just said to myself "this dude isn't fucking listening to me at all" and I just left and got a new doctor

I quit going to male doctors 20+ years ago and this was largely solved.
