It’s crazy the budgets other countries work with and that $257 million is considered a lot by them. I don’t mean that as an insult, more just an observation on how batshit crazy the amount of money we have in the United States is, and that we have basically nothing that matters to show for it.

Well they don’t care about schoolchildren being murdered in America either so it’s not a real surprise. Which is terrifying when you really think about it.

I think about this photo fairly often as an example of the unsung people in the government that actually take their job seriously and do them. Those cases needed to be protected at all costs, and because they knew it, they did it calmly and professionally.
This was an epic image and the reason it happened was that Pelosi was in charge. She knew exactly what they were doing, and that what was in those boxes was the highest priority for safety in that building. Her people stayed calm and did their jobs.
