Maternal deaths have risen because of the criminalization of pregnancy outcomes and abortion bans with little regard for the people effected by these bans. Not only women- but families, children, communities are suffering from lack of access to care.
"Largest decline of crime" he says while many states have criminalized abortion and pregnancy outcomes. So many women and pregnant people are dying due to these bans.

We have a clinic in a resoundingly red state but party-identification does not dictate how you feel about abortion and abortion access. This is not a partisan issue. This is a partisan issue only because of politicians who have made it into this wedge issue for political benefit.
I don't think it's moral, ethical, appropriate for anyone to tell another person what they can or cannot do with their own body
Just because you live in a certain geographic area doesn't mean that you don't need or deserve access to quality health care, including abortions.

And I want to make clear that abortion restrictions aren't preventing reproductive coercion, but they encourage it. PBS News Hour had a powerful piece on Oct. 16th, 2025, "Abortion restrictions may be fueling a rise in domestic violence, experts warn.
