This paper has been 10 years in the making! Thanks to my co-author Peter Marshall (radiocarbon dating guru), to Historic England who funded the dates, to @dorsetmuseum.bsky.social who hold the archive, and to AHRC for funding my PhD research (where this project originated).
The paper discusses Flagstones in the context of other proto-henges such as Stonehenge and Llandygai, explores small ringforms with cremation burials, and presents a new date on nearby Alington Avenue long enclosure. Also ideas about where this new large circular monument came from - poss. Ireland?
