โ quite sure if it would work on Lestat as well.
"Please? Please, please, please?!"
โ quite sure if it would work on Lestat as well.
"Please? Please, please, please?!"
โ gifted something. Especially something that she has been wanting for a long time.
"I think I want this one!" She announced, sitting up and leaning over the coffin's edge. Eyes wide and beseeching. A look that would easily tug on Louis' heartstrings, she's not โ
"Yeah, well... That's love, isn't it?"
Claudia flashed her maker a big grin as she said that. If she was in a worse mood, she would have needled at that insecurity. Poked fun at him for the fights, the insults, the screaming in French...
But she's always at her most agreeable when she's being โ
... Hungry.
It's not personal.
Bites the reader.
With fangs.
โ โค๏ธ for a starter, length may vary.
Should she be sleeping? Yes.
Is she? No.
She's wide awake and scribbling in her diary.
โ and she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Good."
Her expression said it all. If he yelled at her, she would fight back. She might have been wrong this time, but she's stubborn.
Claudia watched them go, eyes wide. She whipped around when she heard her maker's voice, primed with questions. Many, many, many questions.
But then she remembered what had happened and the sheer amount of souvenirs in her room. Her mouth snapped shut โ
โ before she did, steadying herself on his arm.
She must have gained a second wind. Thank the shopping trip.
"I was on my way to the incinerator." She said, holding up the dress. "Don't think this can be saved."
โ plan of making sure that they're happy so she gets away with whatever she wants.
By the time her maker came upstairs, she had changed and had her bloody dress bundled up in her arms. She nearly ran straight into him as she was, yet again, running in the house.
She managed to skid to a stop โ
Claudia isn't as upset at the lack of Louis. She was sure that he would be home by sunrise and besides, it meant that he wouldn't see that her clothes are bloody and decide to be all... broody about it.
/That/ would cause an argument between her two guardians. Which wouldn't help her plan - the โ
". . . You'd have to get me somethin' pretty nice to convince me to change my mind."
โ everything.
"I'm gonna get changed!" She announced, turning to run upstairs.
Is she supposed to run in the house? No. But she never listens to that rule.
โ death, even that of family, barely ticked her radar.
If anything, her not asking about his last moments was enough of a show of empathy.
And then, before she could get her thoughts together, they were home and such a conversation had to be stopped. She stepped inside, letting him carry in โ
"Oh."
Maybe Claudia should have felt more strongly about that fact. Maybe her heart should have ached for Louis, maybe she should have had the urge to ask more questions...
But she's a vampire to her core. Being turned at an impressionable age made that part of the transition easier. Human โ
โ on.
She /squealed/ in delight, looking to her maker with a proud grin.
โ time, eyes alight with curiosity.
When it was finally time to /do/ and not just /listen/, her nose scrunched up in concentration.
"This is really complicated..." She mumbled as she followed his instructions. But, despite how complicated it felt, she managed to turn the car โ
When Lestat was teaching her something, Claudia often felt... special? Maybe that's the wrong word. But it was something just for the two of them. Something that wasn't harsh words and scathing looks.
And right now, she was excited. Fidgeting like the day she went coffin shopping for the first โ
She nodded in agreement, starting on her way home. Using the darkened back alleys, moving as swiftly as she could.
"Wanna make a bet? If he notices or not?" Her tone took a playful turn.
On the bright side, she found a second wind and wouldn't crawl straight into her coffin when they got back!
โ โค๏ธ for a starter, length may vary.
Poking her head out of her coffin.
She's awake.
"Longevity? We're immortal!"
She's drunk. Maybe she'd remember some of this information tomorrow evening.
Lestat should hope that she doesn't. After all, then she would start prodding him for more information.
โ piece of shit like almost everyone else she's met.
"Bloodstone?" She leaned forwards, eyes narrowing. "Never heard about that."
"And you let me bite you just now?"
She was mentally keeping a list. While Claudia had no want to harm him now, he hadn't done anything to make her, she always kept her options open.
After all, who knew when she might meet a werewolf who DID try to hurt her. Or, maybe, he turned out to be a โ
She fought a smile at the thought. She liked hunting groups, ever since she was first introduced to it. Both because it sated her thirst for a little longer and because it was just good fun.
"Sounds good. But we're gonna have to find somethin' for you too, then."
Even as wasted as she is, she catches the tone. It made her give another kick of her leg, this time actually trying to hit him.
Luckily for Lestat, she misses.
"Nobody! I just thought... it'd keep the sun off of me, wouldn't it?"
"Well, if /that's/ what you want, we're gonna need a big meal." Claudia joked, allowing her to grab her arm.
This time, she didn't stiffen quite so much. She's accepted that this is a genuine interaction and not some elaborate trap.
