Finally finished this up! It's done in watercolor, gouache, and color pencils. I know I should try to render it in more detail but I'm not sure I want to. I like the texture being able to be textures. Maybe that will change in the future. For now, though, I like it 😅

I know it was trying to pass this instance off as "something it only tried one time / old piece" but literally all of it's current "art" still looked like this. The muddy brushing over the very defined psudeo-falvie rendered artstyle is really obvious

like, as an artist; if my client's character's eyeshadow, eyes, and nose are all purple, I will not give them a WIP of a character with a black nose, yellow eyes, and black eyeshadow. I would have started out with those colors in the flats

even without the incredibly damning file name you can tell they've just been tracing over AI images the whole time bc the fact that whatever discerning details of the character it went back to recolor/touch-up are in such a jarringly different style than the WIP it gave its client
