The comic continues from the explosion on the first page, smoke swirling around two characters—one has covered her face with her arm, the other remains frozen in place while her front side is burnt and ashy. Ahzuvi keeps her eyes closed, hand still raised as the fractured crystal focus continues to smoke and spark. --- (Alisaie brushing off smoke from her braid) Alisaie: That's your idea of control? (Ahzuvi pinching a flame on her hair) Ahzuvi: Did you think Urianger was exaggerating? --- Alisaie: YES? OBVIOUSLY?? --- (Alisaie continues speaking out-of-scene, while various images of Ahzuvi's failed attempts at magic casting are depicted) Alisaie: 'Combust' and 'Incinerate' are not commonly used to describe casting. Alisaie: Even novice casters don't just destroy a tome. --- Ahzuvi: Well, several tomes actually. (Ahzuvi tilts her head while counting on her fingers, a trail of smoke still wafting from her hair) Ahzuvi: ...a few staves... She looked up, meeting those blue eyes for only a moment before her gaze skittered to focus just above Alisaie’s head. “Seventeen.” Something flickered across Alisaie’s face. Surprise, maybe. Her lips parted, then curved into an odd half-smile. “My brother and I are sixteen summers.”
