Oh man, yeah, I don't roll my eyes a ton at games these days but that reveal deserved a big one. Absolutely no legitimate reason why that would be the case and anything they do to explain it in the future is going to come across as extremely cheap

lol annnnddd now it crashes every like 3rd time I go to the menu and switch to my items so thatβs probably a no-go for playing this on the Steam Deck, we love it!
So fucking sick of every news story now being about things that usually takes months if not years of planning turning into:
Was it easy to fix? Sure. Did I have to look up like 3 different Reddit threads to confirm how to fix it? Yep. Do you have to do any of this shit on a Switch 2? Absolutely not
The solution to this ended up being βgo into desktop mode and download Proton-GE which a bunch of games apparently need to do stuff like thisβ and honestly I get why people see the Steam Deck and still end up going to a Switch 2 for gaming
Hey why is the Resident Evil 2 Remake verified on Steam Deck when the very first computer you run up to does not display anything at all an leads to a hilarious cutscene of Leon reacting to nothing okay fine I get why itβs verified
They should invent an anti-anxiety medication that doesnβt just replace my anxiety with feeling like the most tired human being in existence
I do, honestly, feel more cold when a run dies in this, especially in Acts 1 or 2, than I do in any other roguelike and Iβm not really sure why that is but it does provide me with a neat little eject button for these games, which is nice
Think Iβm probably good on Slay The Spire 2 for a bit, not because it isnβt good (itβs very good) but itβs already caused me two nights where a run I thought would be βquickβ ran way longer and caused me to feel like absolute shit the next day. 9/10
It's really not helped that the game is obsessed about looking at the past and then just kinda...not really saying anything about it at all. Almost all growth is either implied or extremely rushed (with the exception of Grace, which I still think is pretty rushed but at least more fleshed out)
Yeah I think ultimately this is where I land on it too. The first Leon open section goes on way too long and then, for me, basically NOTHING after the detonator lands at all and just feels like the game being βremember???β
Iβm not entirely sure how exactly Slay The Spire 2 is grabbing me so much more than the original when I tried to replay it a few months ago. I think itβs just that the builds are maybe more obvious/feel more fun to pull off?
Seasonal allergies are how I know that Godβs light has failed me
No you canβt have an edit button. You can only talk about video games that released 10+ years ago but the only things youβre allowed to say are whether they were βjust okayβ or βwhipped ass.β If more than 10k people follow you your account is forcibly deactivated but you can start again in New Game+

This is for like 8 people: Level-5 should just give Dark Cloud to Falcom
Like even at 13 I was able to tell that being forced to go to a second school after school where the topic is boring and nobody pays attention and the grades mean literally nothing at all sucked ass and I could've been hanging out with my close personal friend Master Chief instead
Straight up, it was CCD being the most boring, pointless waste of time run by teachers who could not have possibly given less of a shit, trying to run classes with students that ALSO could not have given less of a shit
me paying $30 in gas to buy imported things that have been hit with tariffs bc joe rogan is learning about politics at age 58
One thing that's true about me is that I am just too fucking stubborn to be any good at Slay the Spire. Like I can audible pretty well in Balatro, but here I am just so dead-set on what I want the deck to be and I'll move heaven and earth to make it play how I want to and yeah I don't win very much
Also itβs justβ¦nice to not know any of these fucking people from, like, other terrible reality TV show programming, even if it means that some of them are clearly very bad at this
Itβs pretty fun from a filmmaking POV to go from Traitors US S4 to UK S1 if only to see how much they were sorta winging it in that first season with the kinds of shots they were doing, caring about hiding the cameras, etc
We ended up getting Very Tired and didnβt want to wait for it to open but weβre bookmarking βcocktail bar that will kick you out for taking your phone outβ for the next trip
Requiem just has absolutely nothing interesting to say at all. Leon does the absolute bare minimum of βreckoningβ with his past and I donβt even think the game commits to caring about his storyline fully.
Like I dunno, Iβm probably gonna be in the minority here but like, in the same way that I donβt think EVERY FF needs to end with you fighting God/the embodiment of a negative emotion, I donβt think every RE NEEDS to end in a lab, and Iβm tired of it getting waved away
I think really my biggest issue with Requiem kinda comes down to the same issue Iβve had lately with Final Fantasy: you are allowed to try something new, and these two franchises are obsessed with that coming from a gameplay perspective and not a storytelling one
i donβt think they have those
If anybody knows any last-minute things to do on a Saturday trip to Philadelphia I am all ears. Preferably ones where you can drink while doing it but not a requirement
