Yeah Jesuit education is going to be a much more broad and open than the evangelical school I went to. One of the reasons I pursued multiple post grad degrees was because I felt there was a lot missing from my undergraduate experience.
Finally watching #Survivor 47 finale. I cannot believe people fell for Rachel’s BS. One of the weakest and most obnoxious winners in a while. She was never strategic or effective in working with others and then she was terrible in making her case. Really shocked she won.
Changed?!? Not sure where you went, but I graduated from undergrad 30 years ago and my professors were thoughtful, and good people. But they were clearly led by dogma and expected to receive logic driven replies that were steeped in that same dogma as well.

Having received my undergraduate degree from a religious institution I can tell you that save for one amazing professor, dogma will always trump data in those intellectual circles. And they will create a philosophy to justify that every time.
I think we already know the answer to that.

“Demand” is such a silly word under these circumstances. As someone who deeply respects the work of the Brennan Center, I find this approach to be a classic “Missed the target but hit the tree” approach. Demanding does nothing. Just put as much heat light and visibility on this nonsense. Expose it.
I can already read the articles on LinkedIn “In this era of corporate belt tightening, you can supplement your family’s income by providing basic services to the very same wealthy families that made sure they were no longer available to yours.”
