Still waiting on all those "principled soldiers" I keep hearing about to refuse unlawful orders...
the party that wants to require ID to vote abruptly invalidating a thousand peopleβs IDs overnight seems like a pretty giant flashing red light
There seems to be a lot of men who donβt get why women are upset that the menβs team laughed at Trumpβs βjokeβ.
Let me make his βjokeβ clear: He said the ONLY reason he would invite the womenβs team was bc if he didnβt heβd be impeached. The message was he wouldnβt have otherwise.
And they ALL π
In systems where men hold all the power women and children are always at risk. the end of the patriarchy is the beginning of safety
I hope people realize this is a declaration of increased taxation on every American. Without the approval of Congress. Heβs not figuring this out on his own. This is Russel Vought.
Bombogenesis is back! Bostonβs already had 40in of snow in 2026 & looks like possibly another foot with Sunday-Monday Norβeaster. Stay tuned for more on snow prepβ¦
βHeβs my first born,β Susan Pretti said. βHeβs the one that made me a mother. There was no reason he should have died that day.β
βNo,β her husband said.
I urge you to read this today.
Me too. Best show I saw there was Warren Zevon. I also miss Sallyβs :)
Oh! I also once gave Bonnie Rait a cold because she came into the light booth before her encore and shook everyoneβs hand. Saw her at Toads Place a week or so later and she had my laryngitis.
Not sure it counts as mundane. I once asked James Earle Jones if he could please leave the stage so we could set for the second act of a tech rehearsal.

this is a subject that's near and dear to my heart
1. no you didn't, you retconning fucks
2. your decades of anti-governance "free market" "government never functions" propaganda paved the way for the complete authoritarian decimation of labor, consumer, environmental protections
UNICEF: 37 Palestinian children have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the ceasefire.
Imagine if this was Israeli children - would we call it a ceasefire?
What do you have against the Celtics?
"The world isnβt ending. A world is ending. Our job is to midwife the next one."
We are all immigrants. Unless you came over on the Mayflower. I am an immigrant to Canada having grown up in the US. America was built by immigrants. Some people have forgotten that.
Instagram picture by @larrydn7 of Nance in a hat, chain, and with a black t-shirt saying "all my homies hate ICE" with three angry cartoon ducks in between these large words. below that on the shirt in smaller type: "no one is illegal on stolen land immigrants make america great"

They always get around to us.
Until about 100 years ago people had to become adults at a much earlier age. And we are still here as a species.
Amen!
All 10 shots were fired AFTER they removed the gun from Prettiβs waist. Every single shot was fired after he was disarmed.

By some definitions they are in hell already. Small comfort that that is.
what ways can you grind the gears of empire today, tomorrow, the next day?
A photograph of a page in a book. It's a poem called "LITERARY LUNCHEON: IOWA CITY". The lines are mostly quite short except for the one about the river, which is part of the poem's punch. Text as follows: According to the windows that face the slow-spilling brown river we are sipping not our coffee but blizzard winds that surprise us rolling from the north. Still-bare trees are slowly colored white and the earth implies this is the source of the cold I feel. Not so. The great ones gather at the university buffet like cattle around alfalfa and barley. I maintain without willing it an Indian invisibility.
Feeling seen, maybe a little bit gently condemned π«€

Who tells the story? *Slaves* don't get their stories preserved. A Sumerian proverb states "the life of a poor man does not survive his death." This makes the Exodus special. There is a duty to preserve the stories of the oppressed. There is a duty to tell the names of those who suffer
"say their names"
"do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?"
