WHAT
The magic of backlight animation: that pre-digital era when artists had to light up from underneath to create lighting effects through unpainted or translucent parts of cels, backgrounds and various elements.
You know what, I had a talk recently at work about how general public doesn't know any female artists from the past and my own 20 paintings thread was all men, so for my own education I'm starting a thread for female painters and illustrators.
