A colleague & I just facilitated a round table discussion on Eating & Drinking with Acknowledged Risks at the Thames Valley Geriatric Medicine Registrars' monthly teaching day. Absolutely buzzing - what a great group of people. Openness to debate, shared problem solving, and a true MDT spirit 💙

Years ago I did a University placement with kids with hearing impairment, using ultrasound to help visualise placement for artic therapy because they couldn't always 'hear' the target - wouldn't it be interesting to combine the two? 🤔

I've given this a read now - fascinating paper. I found my interactions with my nursing colleagues was different in Aus compared to how it is here in the UK - I wonder why? I would love to see more ethnographic papers about SLT practice!
So, so important to read outside our field - I haven't heard of this term before but it makes complete sense to me. I'll be reading up more about this 💙
Wow, this is a side to SLT I'm not all that familiar with. I really, really feel that last paper though - a lot of the same can be said about how our patients find it challenging to navigate hospital systems too! Great motivation for change - good luck with the grant 🤞🏻
