Date or even marry the reflection of one's dead spouse, Merk and Jilala were bonded and continue to run the Pathfinders and adventure as a couple. At the end of all this, the question is: Who is Merk Silverblood? He is a man who values family above all but can't have one of his own blood. 24/26

Merk was a dead ringer for Jilala's departed husband Magni, a Ronso bounty hunter who had died fighting Sin Eaters. Jilala had been brought over from the First by an expirement of Y'shtola's gone awry, or right depending on how one looks at it After a bit of awkwardness regarding if one should 23/26

New yet familiar to him, an Elf Red Mage named Jilala Esouna. Though she wore her hair differently and it was lavender as opposed to white, Jilala was the spitting image of his wife Salana, and for good reason. Jilala was from the First and was in fact Salana's Reflection there. For his part 22/26

And forming the Pathfinders Free Company with Salana, building up their numbers and adopting two members as their children: Ry'lor the Hrothgar, and Alia the Viera. However, tragedy would strike the Silverblood household. Salana suffered from a disease thay caused her to always be expending 19/26

The Dalmascan Elezen Red Mage, Salana Vitamesa. During a rest between skirmishes, the two of them hit it off, and even before the liberation of Bozja, they were always together. After Bozja had been liberated, the two were bonded, and spent many years together, with Merk becoming an Adventurer 18/26

With Merk serving as a liaison between the two groups. Though reports from the Flames and Maelstrom often said he was no where to be found, but a Bozjan soldier using both Gridanian and Bozjan spear techniques could be seen on the front line. It was during these unofficial forays that he met 17/26

Into work as a Captain in the Adders. He was called in as a mediator between Hrothgar refugees and Wood Wailers when the former appeared as Garlemald was beginning to collapse. It was through them he learned of the Bozjan rebellion and petitioned the Adders to provide support. It was granted 16/26

And Talifanya believing he was prone to cheat because of it, when Merk gave a Miqo'te friend a headpat for a job well done, the marriage basically disintegrated (side note, I wish this was creative writing, but is actually what happened in my first bonding) after his divorce Merk threw himself 15/26

He served with distinction in Operation Archon and the Liberation of Ala Mhigo, earning him the rank of Captain. After the liberation campaign, Merk met a Hyur man named Talifanya Doylaruze, and a whirlwind love and marriage soon followed, but it did not last long due to Merk being Bisexual 14/26

Wood Wailers, but that is because the Wood Wailers treat anyone who isn't a Wildwood Elezen like ducks. When word came that Garlemald was encroaching on Gridania again, Merk put down his saw and took up a spear as a soldier with the Twin Adders, choosing to fight rather than be forced 13/26

Came in hand after the Calamity, where Merk worked both on restoration of Gridania and keeping the children calm and out of the way of restoration efforts, for which he would soon find himself treated as a neighbor rather than a strange oddity by the citizens, with the expection of the 12/26

Though at times his temper from all he went through could flare up. He also found fans from an unexpected place: the children of Gridania who viewed him as a stuffed animal come to life. Merk often found his work station surrounded by curious children, and began to tell them stories which 11/26

Who had just come from being apart of their enemy's army did not win him any friends. Eventually he was taken in by Beatin and found work as a carpenter at the guild. Between returning to woodworking and a friendship with Beatin over it, Merk returned to his normal, jovial self mostly 10/26
