SCIENTIST ONE: This podcast is already 100% awesome. It's mathematically impossible to make it any better.

What a cast!!!!!! Though I have to say, the real star was that script by Bud Freeman. (Paraphrasing car chase) "He's got a case of the cutes." and so many "You dig?"s.
I have completed A Very Brady Christmas on House of Svengoolie. I found it surprisingly sexytime, and therefore mostly uncomfortable, except when Florence Henderson was on screen. I have reached an age where she and her shoulder pads amaze and astound me.
I have recently become interested in football to support a friend, and it has released all the sub-genetic Packer fandom in me. The results of this game depress me a great deal for the few moments I think about the game.
Sunday we drove a moving truck and a car with a trailer from St Louis to Rockford to Minnesota. I'm listing the drive through central Illinois as one of the top three traumatic moves in my life, just behind driving a moving van with a busted axle through the mountains while coked up on Red Bull.
Also, you wanna talk fashionβ¦
BOMB SQUAD GUY: You guys should probably stand back.
MCGARRETT: Good idea. How far, maybe 10 feet?
BSG: ... Yeah, that's probably good.
I loved that one! Not surprisingly.
Great Podcast ep! My accolades are overdue, but I deleted by Blue Sky app for my trip to Ireland because I didn't want Kristi N**m to know I follow George Takei, and then I couldn't find my password to get back on. Anyway, glad they were able to use those ample minutes of stock volcano footage. Hot!
I am tardy in congratulating you on this episode, and also I feel old for using the word tardy. Thank you for the shout out and for tracking when aloha shirts are used. Future generations will crave this info!
Yes on both counts!!
I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS CASEY KASEM. Hearing him again on the podcast, it seemed obvious. Paramount+ always interrupts my credits with [Keep Watching Credits?] and by the time I say yes, the actor credits are gone. Thank gods we have your great podcast to track this stuff!
@kikiwrites.bsky.social @rustingwillpower.bsky.social My life is upside down but rest assured Book em Danno and Here Watch This kept me sane driving cross country. My brain is too oatmealy for specifics, but you are both so appreciated. (Somewhere btwn Champaign & Peoria I yelled, hope you heard)
Far out! When I was 9 or 10 I saw a movie called Go For It! (1976) & it was literally 1 1/2 hours of surfing & skateboarding (incl. some memorable nude surfing I was prob too young to see). Def no plot required. Their movie might have found its audience!
While Iβm blathering, itβs interesting to me that they didnβt address the biggest flaw in their 8-track plan. 8-tracks always had visible tape on the playable end, but in removing the tape, their counterfeits would conspicuously be missing the tape.
The tape had four stereo tracks (totaling 8) so the album was separated into 4 playable tracks. When you reached the βendβ of the tape loop, it automatically advanced to the next track. Itβs a more interesting and complicated technology than cassettes but less user-friendly.
I had 8 tracks! You may have already gotten the answer, but they had FF and jump track features but no rewind. The reason is that the tape was all on one big reel and went in a continuous loop, so it could only go in one direction. I took one apart (of course).
I especially enjoyed this BED episode, as I especially these H50 eps, for similar reasons to yours. I especially appreciated your reference to Wolfman Jack! And speaking of stuff kids just donβt understandβ¦
Loved your episode. I was way more confused than expected by the lottery story. But I like the abuse. I do think the writer was enjoying all the clippy jokey dialogue more than usual.
The 2011 TV Pilot! In our first ever crossover episode, The Reel Guys take over (Stan the Man and Jackie O) along with their guest Katie, with a video podcast recorded live, to break down the 2011 Wonder Woman pilot created by David E Kelly and starring Adrianne Palicki!

@kikiwrites.bsky.social @rustingwillpower.bsky.social Stellar. Christin describes the Bones ep so well, I may just have to watch it. And Shann has Jack Sooβs deadpan delivery down cold. I may have teared up at least twice. Letβs go shoot some clams!
Another fine podcast. And such a timely episode! Given where the economyβs headed, I could use the counterfeiting lesson.
I just finished "American Primeval" on Netflix. tragically, violently beautiful. There's one sequence in particular toward the end that's so full of metaphor and wordless commentary, my head exploded (an appropriate response). This is the kind of stuff my scruffy self would love to be cast in.
There are so many people being wrong on the internet today, itβs hard to focus.
My word, I thought Howard Sprague and wife in matching patterns was awesome, then THAT PIMPIN CAST. Super cool, and the fashion absolutely lived up to your hype. Great episodes, great podcast, and happy holidays on the real, you dig!?
Itβs aMAZING, and actually kind of moving the way they stuck so faithfully to the original story. Both episodes were fantastic.
Definitely worth the wait- I especially enjoyed the reboot and your observations about Steve and Dannoβs bromantic sniping. Also, ROBOCOP IS HOOKMAN.
I was prepared and watched Hookman before the hurricane, ready to dive in but now there's reboot homework! Streaming/internet just returned but no power yet, generator running low. AAhh! So much to say already. A friend used read to me from JJ Arms' pulp novels back in the 90s. JJ ARMS!!!!!!!!!
