Another result of some fun in my #darkarts #darkroom lab last week in Intermediate #darkroomphotography where we played with a bunch of toning options and alternative printing methods.

The potential here makes me wonder if I need to add Bleachout as a first step to my Mordançage prints - have them disappearing in two different ways? Reminds me of Chromo, although this one feels a little… less involved.

I’m not one for plastic fantastic cameras normally, especially not the ever-popular hipster accessory, the Holga, but damn did my first intentional double exposure come out perfect - and even done handheld! That’ll never happen that good again. 😂

Beautiful pearlescent blue coming off of the overflow across Darling Creek coming back this last weekend. I love the subtleties in colors nature provides us at its most extreme.

Saw this beautiful pattern in the retreated, frozen tidal plain and had to turn around and capture it. Such gentle magic.

Maybe I’m finally letting myself see some beauty in light. I see that as progress. Finding beauty and warmth during the year’s coldest and dimmest.

In the past, I’d enjoy peek-throughs of the light like this, but I’d pass them up photographically, finding them too beautiful, too chaotic, too bucolic - too typically landscape. Maybe this doesn’t fit into Resilient, but I see its beauty now and want the chance to capture it.
