More and more people have showed up to this party. I have now had to squeeze myself into an ever smaller part of this table because they keep moving in and out and jostling my laptop. These people are huge jerks to have chosen to sit here knowing they were going to have too many people for the table
There are like six empty tables at this coffee shop so of course these people who came in just had to squeeze into the one right next to me. I wasn't using it but I did have to adjust how my stuff was arranged and I'm just like, ...is this your lucky table???? what is going on????
Also, I was struck by how maybe Sherlock and Arthur and Pete are all the strategists in their OTP, but they're such very different strategists, they're not at all the same character. I always think I'm writing the same basic story over and over, but there are differences in their dynamic.
I have an Alexa because it's an useful hands-free multiple kitchen timer, and I like to ask it for the weather and to play music.
That's it. That's all I need it for. That's all I need it to do. Amazon begged me to upgrade and I was like, no. I just need a kitchen timer. Stop it with this.
I received a comment on an old Inception fic I didn't even remember writing, so I found myself re-reading the fic this morning and...wow, remember when I used to write about criminals and they sound plausibly like they know how to commit slick heists????? lol
The editing of TOC7 is killing me. They're either setting me up for a highly satisfying Jet win or they're setting me up to have my heart broken.
All of my long fics have theme songs -- songs that I listen to incessantly while writing them, that just *feel* like the fic to me, that years later when I hear them make feel that fic *so vividly.* And then sometimes I hear a song that I have a premonition, like, "This is a fic waiting to happen."
That is awesome!!
One thing that has surprised me about this storm is how many people I've seen shoveling three feet of snow in Converse sneakers or Yeezy slides.

My brothers-in-law both have snowblowers and we all collectively shoveled everybody out but it was a mess
We were in the record territory. The heavy bands sat over us and refused to budge for hours. They just kept upping our projected total all day yesterday.
Plows came by around 9am and then the cleanup started. We're finally all out!
I think this is the first time I haven't heard a snowblower running since 9am.
I actually do not know. Hmm.
My house lost power but it's been restored and I stayed with my parents. We got about 39 inches of snow and haven't seen a plow yet. The street looks like we live in Antarctica. We shoveled a tunnel to connect the houses. How are you?
I guess the groundhog was right about the six more weeks of winter.
