True, the government certainly isn't stepping up to save anyone. I was encouraged to hear the Nursing union come out to stand with Pretti. That kind of thing might be a place to start.
What's going to happen to psych units when folks are on a hold and there's no one to pay? We just eat the losses? Release people who are a danger to self or others?
There is no part of this that makes ethical or practical sense.

Reading the reddit post about a satirical petition for Denmark to purchase California, full of people enthusiastically saying "yes, please." I suggested a BOGO with Oregon.
