I mean I hope they know I've blocked them. It's not a secret I don't like anyone I block whether it's because they're a Nazi, tweet animal abuse, or have a punchable face.
It's honestly not just the safety feature (I've had folks use their time for Years to slander/harass me) or the inability to remove myself from lists (that are always violent, predatory, or just plain CREEPY).
