おはようございます
今日も朝からスッキリとした青空が広がる晴天☀️
昨日よりもさらに気温が上がって春本番の陽気になりそうですね🌸

では2月22日は”ニーニーニー”で年に一度の『超ニーニーの日』
ということで「ニーニー」鳴いてるヤマガラで
真正面からのニーニーは堪らなく可愛いですね😆

in fifth grade we had a class spelling bee where the class winners would go to the school spelling bee, and potentially beyond

my teacher intentionally gave me harder words than the rest of the class, so i didn't make it past the class contest

oh yeah, that's true! ___でございますgives me the vibe of like ... "here is your order" at a restaurant or something (though there is also ___になります)

in general ございます is a keigo (丁寧語) form of ある so i think you're right that it's used like that in modern day speech, but ござる with no -ます feels archaic

なさる is used commonly in keigo as the 尊敬語 form of する, so when someone is being very polite honorifically (think customer service or business hierarchies)

どうなさいましたか？is a phrase that popped into my head

in contrast ござる mostly feels to me like "this is samurai talk"

i especially love when they realize the food is below, fly off to try to land on the food part, miss, and land on the top again where they started

the more common and hilarious thing on my feeder (which has a flat transparent top) is that a Borb (mourning dove) lands on the top of the feeder and gets deeply confused as to what is blocking it from getting at the food it sees below

and then it just sits there accepting its fate

i imagine the balance of internal vs external varies a lot by person, but for me this definitely rings true -- it's less that i am a particular gender and much more that i am very tired of being gendered by other people and the baggage and assumptions that brings

i spent the weekend crocheting small orbs while listening to other people solve puzzles and that was solid actually
