Then she got up, stretchingโthe lady is actually pretty tall, spanning 6 ft and rather broad-shouldered. Clearly, she's no dainty woman but her mannerisms are rather gentle, contrasting her appearance.
"Unless you are free? Perhaps we can walk and chat together?"
"I heard that it's how it is in many other worlds." Inrin whispered, almost solemn, "But I believe that compared to my world, there is more freedom that way but that is my opinion."
She stifled a yawn, smiling, "Look at the time... Apologies, I must be keeping you from your duties."
โIf we leave her with the government and let them raise her, odds are sheโll turn out like Makima again.โ

Besides, a world is a heavy burden.
"But I agree. Sometimes, I'm just frustrated with them too and it's like...questioning if they're actually gods. Or they're just as lost as us."
Inrin nodded, "My other half. It's the only wall that separates me and the creature I become. I shapeshift."
She said simply, chuckling, "Also, you'd be surprised at how much our gods are so...human as well. They're not all-powerful nor all-knowing. But they're working on it."
"But since I'm off shopping, would you like to come with?" She offered, turning to Alpha again with a smile.
"I'd really appreciate that." Inrin smiled, nodding, "Thank you. I've been wanting to take care of my appearance anyways... All this work has been making my hair and skin all dry. I usually don't mind my appearance but many people say I look either scary or haggard."
She admitted, all embarrassed.
Inrin's fingers brushed at cloth, silently admiring these varying gownsโespecially the long white ones. Elegant ones that trailed behind her, as well as a veil...
She sighed quietly, pulling her hand away before digging her nails in her palm.
โpart was as yellow as the sun with its stem almost looking like a tiny tree.
Inrin pocketed the fruit, "I'm from a world that doesn't seem like any other. I haven't seen alternates of it and such but it is a very magical world, where humans and gods still walk together. Though, it is...chaotic."
In her hands, there were two thingsโa mask shaped like an owl with actual feathers yet the material seemed to be some sort of dark wood, painted and carved by hand intricately.
The other is a fruit, like a nearly shriveled apple but its lower side looked as if it was made of bismuth and the topโ
โof the world, it's all up to the traces left on a person. I mean, one way or another, someone has a piece of their home with them. Whether it's an alternate universe or a completely different one, I can tellโerr, most of the time anyways."
She chuckled, looking over and finally looking down.
"By scent, I suppose. And feeling." Inrin admitted, lightly touching her own nose, "It's hard to sense at first, especially if the place is crowded, but if isolated, like we are now, there's always a change in scent."
She chuckled, "Kind of like an animal, I suppose. Once you're used to the scentโ
โ Bro, im gonna scream i didnt wanna be right bro FUUUUCCCCKKKK
"...how does it work? Why does it change?" She asked, "If you don't mind me asking anyways. I do believe speaking about such things will atleast lessen a little burden... An ear to lend never hurt anyone."
"Mm, like a neverending weaving tapestry of beauty and death..." Inrin mumbled, nodding as she slowly understood, "Are you alright though? I can't imagine that kind of music or noise constant in my own head."
Truly, that does sound like a bothersome thing to handle in your everyday life.
โhave said such a thing. After all, if Inrin was complimented about her own abilities, she wouldn't know what to think either.
"...apologies if I sounded rude. I know not where you came from and who you are fully so if my words offended you, I'm terribly sorry."
โreally talked to anyone about it, nor found the chance to understand.
"So the earth sings to you? You can hear the world around you? Or atleast, nature itself like a fae creature?" She smiled slightly, "Rather poetic or romantic, no?"
Then she paused, suddenly having a feeling that she shouldn'tโ
After slipping the candy in her mouth, Inrin looked over in wonderโ "A mutant?"
Personally, she found the word rather...unappealing but at the same time, perhaps Inrin is one too if it just means to distinguish 'normal' humans and those with powers.
She's heard the term a few times but neverโ
Inrin chuckled and nodded, looking at the candy before taking one, "Thank you, Larina. I'm Inrin and I appreciate your words. I'll think more about it."
And she looked at the candy, unwrapping to eat it, "May I ask who you are? You speak as if you're not actually human...?"

"Princess โ โ โ โ โ โ โ ."
Inrin slowly looked up, staring up at ghostsโphantoms from a land lost long ago.
She let out a shuddering breath, sitting up to see a kingdom of ruin in eerie silence.
Billowing fog, tall grass, vine and ivy, and hollow buildings that whistled quietly with the wind...
Once back in the cabin, Inrin opened the back door like before, letting the dog excitedly follow Makimoto out back into her apartment in Japan.
Securing the door, she proceeded to walk Makimoto out the door, silent and still deep in thought as she watched him from behind.
"See you tomorrow, sir."
No, she's sure of itโwhat they have is real but the problem is the lack of ๐๐ช๐ข๐๐ฃ understanding and emotions.
Inrin was once human and Makimoto...is certainly not human. If anything, he might just be a devil that looks like one, kind of like Denji? Or a fiend? No, he'd have a distinct head shape no?
Specifically, when she refused to live in the same house as him. It wasn't as if she denied him outright, it was just that it's too early in their relationship.
...perhaps her choice of a partner is wrongโ
She shoved that thought away immediately and sighed, following his retreating frame.
Inrin's face turned red immediately but seeing his retreating back, keeping with him whatever secrets he has...
She couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment.
Makimoto is hard to read and even harder to understand. She assumes he has a hard time to understand her; hence his reaction to her.
"I'll pay you half of what they'll give me." She seemed genuine, even if itโ Wait, did she say half of it???
