Have you been good?
Have you been good?
Is that you with Santa Claus?
I wasn’t just last to be picked, I was offered to the other team
Latest read: The Blackbirds of St Giles by @lilacaine.bsky.social One of the most exciting books I've read in ages. Daniel is such a real, believable hero with flaws & secrets & huge integrity. I was rooting for him from 1st page to last. An atmospheric, compelling read. Out January 2025
Oh god it works
Bought a 1948 painting by a Ukrainian female artist from the local junk shop today. Absolutely love it.
Wonderful documentary about the art of Powell & Pressberger presented by Martin Scorsese on BBC iplayer. Strongly recommend.
Exactly.
That’s the same document
Exactly. If you read it the only Rwandan refugee involved (not represented by Starmer) was -a 42 year old woman
The court case used as ‘evidence’ all over social media shows that Starmer was in court arguing for the rights of specific asylum seekers to financial assistance- none of whom were a man from Rwanda.
That’s a lie
I love Sarah Hyland and she’s GORGEOUS but this is what Fosse is supposed to look like. #Strictly m.youtube.com/watch?v=rw_M...
Hello!
I think Twitter does this too?
It’s a good time to say that as well as Kate Griffin, I’m also part of writing duo #LilaCain with the fabulous #MarciaHutchinson
Our epic historical adventure #TheBlackbirdsofStGiles is published by Simon & Schuster on Jan 30th next year!
It’s where Bridgerton meets Dickens… but Dickens wins!!!
The ‘lived experience’ tag can exclude people too. In autism it can mean that only articulate autistic people can be involved in research. It drives caregivers of children/adults with severe learning disabilities mad. Their ‘lived experience’ often cannot be directly expressed
It’s often used to shut people up.
All have ‘experience’ but only two have ‘lived experience’ and those are in different categories. Still not sure how useful the phrase is though. You could just say autistic people, parents of autistic children/adults, caregivers and medical specialists.
I agree it grates. The aim was to separate direct and indirect experience- so a person with autism will have ‘lived experience’ of having autism, while a parent will have ‘lived experience’ of being a parent/carer and a doctor or researcher of autism will have a professional experience of autism.

Our entire lives
So sad. I’m worried she will feel dreadfully confused
Watched Godard’s Breathless in the cinema today. The film that set the standard for cool. A wild, sexy ride.
Have you tried asking the pharmacists? The long acting meds seem to have vanished by there are short lived meds such as Tranquilin available if you keep hunting. It’s not OK, I agree but issue seems to be soaring demand plus quotas.
Our GP does this
Ask the pharmacist/s what meds they think they can get and ask your GP to prescribe that type. It’s a horrendous situation. So many meds seem to have completely vanished.
Oh thank god! Was feeling alone in the vastness
