Luckily, folk music is recession proof.
My band started an action committee that we are referring to as DOBI, or Department of Band Inefficiency, where we do some wholly consuming, focused, creative process, that is tedious to the point of no return on investment. Efficiency has never been the measure of how good something is.

Howβs everybody doing out there?
Safe travels!
Where there arenβt watchdogs there are wolves.
One of our takeaways from #ACompleteUnknown is that artists change, record to record, tour to tour. So go see the live show right away if you love the record because those songs and set lists will change. Music will always be an impermanent thing.
Leaving for a 4 week tour tomorrow. What are we forgetting?
One can dream. This is such a "holy" time, to borrow a phrase, where we can take stock and set intentions so that the next year is more peaceful than the last. And having hope, seeing more light, that's all part of it. Thanks, Angela.
Yes! Amazing.
We re-worked O Holy Night for #solsice a few days ago and came up with this version of it. It's already been called "blasphemous" and "new age garbage" by a couple people. Other's have just said "happy solstice."

Alright Bluesky. Letβs give this a go. Who do we know on this thing? Weβre a folk/Americana duo interested in dogs, first cups of coffee and humans doing the best they can.
