This is a wonky process but BIG news regarding the Republican budget bill: My staff successfully got multiple provisions removed from the bill. Two key wins: 1) Medicaid provider tax. Striking this means Republicans have to backtrack on hundreds of billions in Medicaid cuts.
The Trump and Elon breakup would be pretty funny to watch if I didn't know how much is on the line here: 10 million people could lose Medicaid and 2 million kids could lose food assistance.
Don't let this drama distract you from what matters.

Just learned about this at ACP annual meeting this morning. SO disappointing, but not surprising.
An important point getting overlooked:
When NIH cancels "diversity" grants (e.g., diversity supplements, Fs, Ks, etc), they aren't canceling the grants based on *what* the grant studies.
They're cancelling them based on *who* is doing the research. And that disallowed "who" is anyone not white.
