oh, but the art need to upgraded to at least decent level (the anatomy's right). but doesn't require until perfect and unique level.
The unique art style itself will slowly formed as we to draw lot's of comics, it will come in time so dont worry, the important part of making comic is make it, lots.

a hard to swallow pill that it's outside the comfort zone of artists. it's not about 'if i add that brush, my comic will get unique'. it's the story telling skill. (((i'm still learning too TuT)))

this... makes me thonk.. lot of new artist/wannabe comic artist think to make ur comic stand out is to make the art unique. while i might agree with it. but to me personally, what make a comic's stand out... is the story and the character.
