I am honored to earn the endorsement of New Mexico Voices for Children Action Fund and I will work everyday to build a bright future for our children and families. (2/2🧵)

We all have a responsibility to build a bright future for our kids and the generations that come after them. When a child falls behind, it’s our duty to support them and get them back on track. (1/2🧵)
It’s tragic to see young lives cut short. Sending my condolences to their families, friends, and to the entire Las Vegas community grieving this unimaginable loss.

With 73.52% of delegates behind us, the momentum is undeniable.
In a sea of yellow at the Democratic Pre-Primary Convention, we reminded everyone that New Mexico is the light. From universal childcare to safeguarding health care, I’m ready to bring my experience to the Governor’s office.
Happy International Women’s Day to the fierce women who inspire me: From my grandmother and mother, to my sisters and the incredible women I’ve met across New Mexico and around the world. Women lift each other up, lead our communities, and never stop fighting. And neither will I.
Praying for the two officers shot in To’Hajiilee today. My thoughts are with them, their families, and the entire community. Wishing them a full recovery.

Former U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland on Thursday announced her gubernatorial campaign’s plan for public safety issues, which includes overhauling the troubled CYFD and creating a statewide behavioral health response department.
New Mexico deserves a different approach — one focused on real solutions. I have the experience and leadership to help make that change happen.

We cannot arrest our way out of these issues and we are doomed to repeat the same mistakes unless we do things differently. (2/3 🧵)
Lasting public safety comes from investing in people and communities so they’re strong from the beginning. That’s exactly what my plan for a safer New Mexico does. (1/3 🧵)
We must elect leaders who will stand up to this cruelty. Anyone who wants to harm our people will have to come through me, and I’ll fight tooth and nail to protect our state. (2/2🧵)
Took long enough. Kristi Noem spent the last year tearing families apart and robbing disaster funding from New Mexicans.
But don’t be fooled — Trump isn’t done pushing his chaos. (1/2🧵)
Congratulations to New Mexico State Police Chief Troy Weisler on his retirement after 23 years of dedicated service. Your leadership and commitment have made our communities safer and stronger. Wishing you all the best in your well-deserved retirement.

This is not what America stands for. We cannot be dragged into another war at the whim of one person. My prayers are with our service members, their families, and every innocent life impacted.
As the child of service members, I know my parents would do anything to defend this country, and I know there are moments when action is necessary to protect Americans. But this decision endangered our troops and put innocent civilians, including children inside a school, in harm’s way.
I am outraged that Donald Trump launched an unauthorized military attack while downplaying the possibility that American lives could be lost.
New Mexicans aren’t afraid of hard work; they’re just tired of working hard and then getting stuck. We're going to fix that.

We’ve paid the price for Trump’s tariffs: higher prices at the store and strain on working families. This ruling proves no president is above the law.
Next week, I’ll roll out my affordability agenda to lower prices and put more money back in New Mexicans’ pockets.
As Governor, I will limit coordination with state resources, require agents to identify themselves, ban masks on duty, and keep enforcement away from schools, courts, healthcare facilities, and places of worship. (4/4)
Leadership means showing up and facing the truth, even when it’s hard. New Mexicans deserve a leader with the experience and the readiness to confront ICEand the federal government’s invasion of communities head-on. (3/4)
What I saw made one thing clear: Donald Trump doesn’t care about crime — he’s using ICE to terrorize and spread fear in our communities. (2/4)
This morning I visited Cibola Detention Center and met with people who were recently detained and being held there. I left angry. I left heartbroken. (1/4)
New Mexicans need a raise. We are facing an affordability crisis, and a raise would help to recruit and retain qualified professionals at a time when stability and experience are critically important. It’s time to invest in New Mexicans. (3/3) 🧵
Educators, police officers, firefighters, bus drivers, nurses, corrections officers, scientists, social workers, custodians, librarians, higher education faculty, and so many others are the backbone of our communities. (2/3) 🧵
I was disappointed to see the proposed 1% raise removed from the budget in the Senate Finance Committee. New Mexicans need a raise. (1/3) 🧵
Highlands University is a cornerstone of the Las Vegas community. In my visit, we discussed FEMA, healthcare, and education.
Every New Mexican deserves access to a quality, affordable education and a safe and healthy community.
As governor, I’ll make sure this is a reality across New Mexico.
New Mexico’s future generations belong at the decision-making table.
I met fierce Planned Parenthood Votes student leaders last week, and I look forward to working hand in hand together to protect women’s rights and abortion access across New Mexico.
Going to bat for New Mexicans will always be the right choice.

I spent my Sunday in Sandoval County and sat down with New Mexicans to share my plans for our state.
I’ll continue to keep meeting people where they are to listen and learn from New Mexicans across the state.
