...Then on to Celf Gallery in Cardiff to check out Clive's original illustrations for the astonishingly swanky Folio Society edition of The Illiad...

A top notch weekend accompanying @skullsandsheets.bsky.social around three different exhibitions for the great Clive Hicks-Jenkins. First up was the Witch show at Carmarthen's Oriel Myrddin Gallery, centred on Hansel & Gretel...

Yeah I only popped in for 15 mins while I waited to meet my mom for lunch, could've spent all afternoon there..!

I wish I'd had more time there, wanted to pull up a chair. Intensely calming watching her work in the quiet of the cathedral...

Made a flying visit to Lichfield earlier in the week. In the cathedral I found a mini studio set up for professional Byzantine Iconographer Hanna-Leena Ward. Quite mesmerising watching her at work, mixing traditional egg tempura pigments gathered from her travels around the world...

I was quite lucky with my first purchase from her. I was on a TV job at the time and the production designer liked it so much we used it on one of the sets as prop dressing and I made the money back on the hire fee 😆...

She seems to fairly frequently! Best to set an alarm on her Insta posts. Just a bit of a stresser having to sort it all out through DM and hope you're first in line..!

I was informed last night by a pal that Tarot is currently the No. 2 most watched film on Netflix, lol and ooft. But I guess that explains the sudden influx of DMs asking if the tarot deck is available to purchase (No! It isn't!)...
