"polycule tries to stop war"
literal lol. ty for adding some sunshine to the timeline.
funded! thank you for sharing your lovely art with us, and so wonderful to see your art being centered in such a charming story telling game! :)
And as someone who closely monitors both websites I can assure you that X is a right wing radicalization pipeline, including for people who consider themselves smart and progressive, while Bluesky is just an overwhelming left leaning platform. Those are very different things.
Iโm so tired of seeing people bash Bluesky for being an echo chamber when X is an actual intentionally constructed echo chamber that is demonstrably radicalizing people across the political spectrum who still use it
for alternatives that I think do similar story telling but get it right:
* the Expanse (arguably more grim in some ways!)
* The First Law trilogy (centers villains, subverts good guys win tropes, even involves torture!)
* The Broken Earth trilogy (flawed, organic stories)
story telling without a strong narrative purpose - in my opinion - is always high risk to lose its punch.
mix in the context of war and disaster and grimdark, and everything starts to gray.
that can be powerful!
in moderation. an arc? for sure.
a book? maybe.
a series?! not for me.
moderate dislike of the books and deep disdain for the show.
the books seem an attempt at organic story telling - following characters and just seeing what happens as they engage each other and the world. kinda boring but ok sure.
the show mostly just elevated the ugliest parts of those stories.
I'm sorry you're going through that, thank you for doing it, and sorry you had to.
bonus: lady character with her own shit going on and a meaningful, caring friendship at the core of their relationship.
so tiring bc it's really not hard to be like "ya, looks bad. we should investigate and hold everyone accountable regardless of their party."
like, you don't have to try hard to not trip here.
screenshot of the tweet by Ilhan Omar, taken by current poster (Brian) at 1030am on Sun, Mar 1 on x.com. confirms that the tweet did in fact happen and was not difficult to find.
took me 5 seconds to web search it, lol.
no desire to distract from the focus of an article I already know I'll find joy in reading.
you just made me pause and try to recall other sports moments / folks where the joy was honored by folks discussing the performance and to the art.
two that first popped up:
Katelyn Ohashi
Ronaldinho
was going to pause and make this comment and you already have it covered.
poor alignment between media coverage and what actually matters to communities / the world - combined with the firehose of local chaos - makes getting global views so exhausting (but no less important).
I'm a cooking idiot kindly coached by a loving partner, and even I can confirm standing mixers are one of the best kitchen additions.

but, like, be present, ya know? be HERE with my idea.
here me out:
fly by ski jump archery.
as someone who has that exact same breakfast regularly (except iced chai), I believe you are correct.
until about 1-3pm when the headache hits bc I forgot lunch also.
I don't want to be absurd but...
if I can't use bullet points to organize my thoughts:
* I will cry
* I will not organize my thoughts
* more crying because now I'm disorganized and confused
just pausing to say that this complete art idiot thinks the painting here is incredible! the textures and tones look amazing - esp the shading on the skin! blends so well with the way the light hits the 3D model. ty for sharing!
give the bro LeFou - who composed Gaston a rad song - a redemption arc where he learns to be his own person and maybe even finds a man who actually loves him back.
tired: go spurssss
just a play on words, lol. but i always endorse people getting the tattoos (or lack of) that brings them joy!
for the younger folks: I'm referencing a sweet animated movie about dogs. please don't think I'm calling this pup a tramp, or that I think tramp-like behavior or qualities are actually even bad.
lol, thus ends my "I know it's easy to misread text and context on the Internet" update. ty.
a lady-and-the-tramp stamp.
I would ENTHUSIASTICALLY pay more if I knew creators (designers, artists, QA, devs, etc) were being paid fairly and treated well.
I would pay more even if it took longer to make the games.
honestly, that would probably often result in BETTER games, but I'd pay more even it made games worse.
