In the time it took to half-heal
she stepped into acceptance
the rest, a few yesterdays ago
as for todays and tomorrows
who knows, tales and shivers
hope and heat, half complete

it's 'scared' or 'sacred'
every snub instead of love.. says a lot..
actually i think 'how we will be remembered'..
'is'.. who we are today..
we all likely can do better..

Monday morning
I vowed to not look
at my reflection
ever again
easier that way
the little girl
isn't visible
in the mirror
over sensitive
they call her
some people
only see you
as the reaction
you give
to their malice
step away
from the glass
